The Concept

PANIC BUTTON is annually printed magazine focused on innovative art projects and human creativity in a wide spectrum. Its priority is to present mainly projects that arise off media and cultural centres (especially in the Eastern Europe), projects done by unknown people or groups (including non-professionals) who meet all professional standards. The Panic Button magazine is created by means of co-operation among artists, and it is becoming an art-object itself. We are confident that free artists do not need to be given any topics for art projects, therefore none of the issues has a special theme (but you may join or initiate calls for collective art projects). The magazine is based on visual information, and the text (Slovak/English) either introduces a project or is its artistic part. PANIC BUTTON is not intellectual, it is a picture magazine intended to be the Portable Paper Stage of the Eastern Creative Scene.

How to contribute

First of all send us a description of your idea and a preview of your visual stuff. During a month we will let you know if we are interested in publishing. Our style of creating an article is not a classical journalist work but more like a cooperation with the author. There are two ways how to create an article: 1. You send us texts and original pictures or scans in printing quality and we do text editing and graphic. Than we send you the article for authorisation. 2. You do all the graphics and we publish it (or don't).

Send your project via e-mail to: magazine@panicbutton.info or via post: Vlado Micuch, Levocska 2/37, 010 08 Zilina, Slovakia, Europe

PS: Normal project has 1, 2, 4, 6 till 10 pages.
